Ethan Pomerance
Architecture inspired by community–realized through imagination and cooperation
About
EPA+ is an architecture practice based in Brooklyn, New York. We engage in residential, commercial and cultural projects big and small. We believe that architecture, no matter the scale, can be transformational. We work across design, development, and construction, to bring secure and sustainable buildings to life. EPA+ was founded by Ethan Pomerance.
Through our cross-sector experiences in architecture and non-profit organizations, we explore the technical systems of finance, regulation, and construction, to find pathways to realization. Our ideas and designs are matched with rigorous research and process.

Ethan Pomerance is the founder and principle of EPA+. He holds a BA in History from Vassar College and a Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech School of Architecture. He has spent over a decade working within the field of architecture, with experience in residential, multi-use, and commercial buildings, involving adaptive reuse and renovation, to new build.
Before founding EPA+, he was a project designer at MADE Architecture, where he led projects of varying scale and scope, from the renovation of an 18,000 sf historic landmarked building for corporate use, to the ground-up build of a private residence.
Ethan has been a guest lecturer at Hunter College’s Urban Studies Program and a guest critic at Pratt Institute School of Architecture. Alongside his architecture practice, Ethan is active in community engagement, financial advocacy and agricultural conservation, through the Riverbed Investment Club, a democratically managed investment fund where he is secretary, and treasurer.
